The Works of Josephus
Josephus

Flavius Josephus (37-100 A.D.) was a Jew living shortly after Jesus. A commander of the Jewish army in Galilee, he was captured, subsequently freed, and assisted the Roman general Titus to witness the destruction of Jerusalem. He later wrote several historical works useful for studying the destruction of Jerusalem and the intertestamental period between Malachi and Matthew.

"The Wars of the Jews" describes the destruction of Jerusalem. Recommended reading:
The Preface, for an introduction to the Jewish nation and the calamities that came upon it.
Book 2; Chapter 19, for Cestius surrounding the city, disappearing, and the Christians leaving.
Book 5 & Book 6, for Titus surrounding the city and destroying the temple and the inhabitants.

Did Josephus write about Jesus, His brother James, and John the Baptist? See here. For a larger collection of the pro and con arguments about these passages in Josephus, see here.

"The Seventy Weeks of Daniel and the Great Tribulation" by Philip Mauro.
This is one of the best books dealing with the 70 weeks of Daniel 9:24-27 and the Olivet Discourse of Jesus Christ in Matthew 24, Mark 13, and Luke 21.

This school of prophetic interpretation sees many Bible prophecies fulfilled throughout world history in opposition to the preterist and futurist schools. The 70 weeks was fulfilled by Jesus Christ, the Olivet Discourse was fulfilled in 70 A.D. with the destruction of Jerusalem, the Man of Sin is the pope, the beasts of Revelation are pagan and papal Rome, and similar beliefs mark historicism.
